Follow your dream! If you want to be an entrepreneur, you must have dream. Dreaming of starting a profitable business of your own? Everyone dreams of this at some point in their lives. Working for yourself, setting your own schedule, spending more time with family. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? It is not beyond the scope of reality. In fact, it can happen for absolutely anyone, IF you take the right steps. This article will give you some insight on what is required to become a successful entrepreneur.
Absolutely.....we know that becoming a success in your own right requires careful thought, a willingness to learn, and dedication. If you are on the lazy side, you should change that right now! It takes work, motivation and a real desire to create a lifestyle that is truly your own. Will you have to work hard for the rest of your life? Not if you set your business up correctly. Eventually, it will run smoothly with less work involved. Becoming your own boss should not mean working 16 hours per day for the rest of your life.
Here are a few tips that will help you understand what it takes to become a successful business owner:
1.Choose a niche for your business that you enjoy. Chances are, if you choose a niche that you are not particularly interested in, you won't stay focused and motivated. Choose a niche that is related to your favorite hobby or passion. This will keep it enjoyable, which is crucial if you want to achieve success for the long haul.
2.Avoid negative people. It is inevitable that you will get flack from friends or family. They will think you are losing your mind. How can you start a business? It won't work. You are wasting your time. These are a few comments you are likely to hear, but don't let it affect you. You are going to prove them wrong!
3.Whatever you do, give it your all. This should apply in life whether you work for someone else or start a business of your own. Apply yourself completely, and do the very best job you can do. Becoming a respected and well-known entrepreneur requires dedication, motivation, hard work and perseverance. Never give up!
Perhaps the most important aspect of starting a profitable online or offline business of your own is taking action. So often, we plan and dream while we wait for the perfect opportunity. If you wait until the budget is just right or you have ample time without interruptions, it will never happen. There never seems to be a 'perfect' time to start a business. Just take action, and DO it!
When you decide that success is going to come to you, learn everything you can. Network with others, attend seminars and workshops - absorb as much as you possibly can. This will insure that no matter what the pessimists say, you are going to achieve your dreams. You can attract success! Millions of people do it every single day.
Your big dream can bring you to get what you want.

Be Good Customer Service
We realize that in the throes and stresses of our workday lives, we sometimes forget how our customers see us. One single negative contact can ruin your reputation in the eyes of not only that one customer -- but everyone he or she knows as well. After all, word of mouth works both for or against you.
Absolutely ....you need to make sure everybody in your organization knows he or she is an important part of it. Each department depends and dovetails into the other to produce quality in service or product. Everyone makes a difference: the sales force, the service technicians, the clerical staff, the PR department all work together toward the same goal -- keeping the customers satisfied. As a perfect example of how everyone makes a difference is when I was in a Nashville hotel attending a board of directors meeting for the National Speakers Association. After the meeting, several of us went to the coffee shop to continue our deliberations. Each of us asked for exceptions or additions to the menu items; we wanted separate checks; and to make things even more confusing, being speakers, we talked to each other the whole time the waitress patiently took our orders.
"My dear, all this confusion is going to be worthwhile -- these guys are big tippers," I said.
She said, "I'm not being nice for a tip. It doesn't even matter if I get a tip or not. If we give you good service, your group will bring back its business here and not to the competition."
Isn't that a marvelous attitude from someone on the front lines? I was so impressed, I wrote a letter to the hotel manager congratulating him on his staff and especially the waitress at the coffee shop.
I never received a reply. That waitress "wowed" me with her service and her attitude; but the manager's lack of response almost nullified her customer service savvy. Everyone makes a difference. I think the manager and the waitress should change places for a couple of weeks, she knows more about good PR than he does.
As Paul Harvey says, "Advertising strategies work if everyone knows about them, from the highest corporate executive to the entry level worker." You can make this article as fundamental good customer service.

Get Money from blog
Internet is a way to get many information about anything in our life. The second half of the first decade in this new century has seen the intensification of an internet phenomenon - weblogs or blogs for short. They have next to taken over the internet with hundreds of millions in existence ranging from personal to corporate. What they provide that many websites have failed to do in the past, is to create a unique interaction with the reader. Website content can on occasion feel cold, distant and generalized whereas reading a blog post is more welcoming and personal. Often it gives a unique insight into the thinking's and feelings of the person writing the entry. In a purely business perspective this can be crucial, it can allow the vendor to truly associate with prospective and current customers in a way in which a website fails to do.
Certainly the question of money arises, as with everything in life. Can you make money from your blog? Yes, you can but it won't come effortlessly. A blog isn't something you can produce on the Sunday and have a steady profit on the Wednesday, like everything it takes time and effort. However this is not to discourage you from joining the blog revolution, it just to paint a realistic picture of this craze and to make sure new bloggers do not get carried away.It is estimated that a new blog is produced every second however many of these are created by individuals thinking that they can earn a quick buck through it, in actuality these users have little or no idea of the skills it takes to optimize your blog.
Making money from a blog is not just as easy as posting your views, rants and commenting on issues that are personal to you, it is much more than that. Your blog needs to be optimized for search engines (SEO or Search Engine Optimization) so that it reaches the widest feasible audience, it also has to be marketed suitably on blog directories. Your blog itself has to be designed so that it is appealing to wide-ranging internet users as have features such as an RSS feed.
It is only after your blog has been sufficiently optimized that you can even think about generating some income. This should not put you off however because a blog should contain something you enjoy writing about and then once you have a stable level of traffic, you can begin to make money. The free report is highly recommended because it will tell you all the basics you need to set up your blog, optimize it and then finally to monetize it so that it reaches its full potential. So... we can make money and get many information from internet anywhere and anytime if you know the way.

Is Easy.....
Did you know that most people would agree that individual beliefs and values influence and determine the outcome of any situation or experience in our lives. That’s why a group of people can go through similar experiences and yet individually come away with totally different results.
Question
“When do most people think about setting goals?” It’s usually done as a new year’s resolution at a party over a drink or two, or when you need to slim down for the summer to fit into that new bikini you’re planning to buy or on some other whim.
When done in such a manner the goals set tend to be unrealistic and unattainable? No real thought or planning has gone into it, and in reality, you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment and failure.
When this happens of course you say to yourself.
“See I knew that goals don’t work!!”
The truth of the matter is that there is a specific formula needed to create great goals that work. Only 20% of the reasons why you’re not achieving your goals are on the outside. That means 80% of the reasons why you’re not reaching your goals is on the inside. If you are seriously looking for change in whatever area in life you are unhappy about always start with yourself.
Einstein said “We are all boxed in by the boundary conditions of our own thinking”
Our values and beliefs are created subconsciously through the conditionings we received in our early informative years through our parents, education, religion, schooling and work ect. When we reach our teens and into adulthood, we conveniently begin to pigeon hole meanings and reasons to life’s experiences. Subconsciously we create own internal rule book on how we believe we should be and on how we perceive things. Through habitual limiting beliefs and thought processes we set an invisible wall that limits what we allow ourselves to experience and feel. This then becomes our perceived reality of the world.
To change your internal representation of your individual world, we must begin to challenge and review:
• You’re Beliefs:
Beliefs from the parameters of what you will and will not allow in your life. They make up the boundary conditions of your thinking. Limiting beliefs narrow and restrict your possible experiences; however, transformed beliefs can expand your individual potential and expand what you allow yourself to experience.
• You’re Values:
Values represent what is important to you, ideas that guide your life and represent what you stand for, like family, happiness, stability, love, money, recognition ect. Individual experiences will vary based on your range of values. Someone who values wealth will invest time and effort in that area, and there life will reflect that. If that same person does not value honesty, then the route to wealth will be very different from someone who values honesty.
There have been three major turning points in my life:
The first was when I discovered that if I wanted anything to change it was up to me. This world doesn’t owe me any favors or free hand outs. I am responsible for my life, and for everything that’s happened to me. At some level, we have chosen everything that happens in our experience, whether consciously or unconsciously, for a grander purpose. Don't ask, "Why did I create this?' Instead, ask yourself, "How did I create this reality and what do I want to create instead?"Responsibility means “If it’s to be it’s up to me”
After you accept complete responsibility, your whole life begins to change.
• The second turning point for me came when I realized that you can learn how to be successful. If you put your mind to it, there is nothing that you can’t accomplish. No one is any better or smarter than you. All Life and business skills, sales skills and money making skills are learnable.
• The third turning point was discovering the art of correctly setting goals. When done correctly your goals become the signposts along your path, which motivates and keeps you on track towards your desired results?
The Goal Setting Formula To Success
The first thing is to decide exactly what key area of your life you would like to work on. Start off with your end result in mind. Imagine that there are no limitations on what you can be, have or do. Imagine that you have all the time and money, all the friends and contacts, all the education and experience that you need to accomplish any goal you can set for yourself.
Just like a Harry Potter, Imagine that you could wave your magic wand and make your life perfect in areas of life of your choice. What would it look like?
For a goal to truly motivate people it must inspire create the energy and confidence and determination so that the goal may be reached. For this to happen effortlessly and easily write your goal in present-tense language as if it is happening right now. Success is not around the corner - it's right now. Using the following technique allows you to put goals in your future in such a way that they actually occur.
When Creating Your Goals They Must Be:
Specific:
For your goal to have the energy to reach its objective it must be detailed and state its outcome. It’s no good saying “I want to be rich” This is very ambiguous. How much richer would you want to be? If you make 1 cent more you would be richer. Be specific. Example: “I want to earn $10,000 passive income per month from my online internet affiliate programs”.
Measurable:
When we set goals it’s important to start with the end in mind. This prevents procrastination and gives a positive direction to shoot for. When setting goals be aware that you will be breaking this goal down turning it into milestones. Start with the end in mind.
Evidential:
There should be some practical evidence that you decide upon when setting your goal that makes it real and compelling for you. Be sure that you have a clearly defined the way you want your goal to be. For example, it is obvious when you have reached your goal when you have in your next month’s bank account $10,000 from your online internet affiliate programs. This is a better goal than just I want to be rich. Focusing on the evidence will help you to be on target and will improve the effectiveness of achieving your goal.
Responsible:
When we set goals it must be understood that for this goal to work you must take control of your actions and be responsible for the success of this goals objective. You must fully accept the consequences of your own decisions and actions. Responsibility means “If it’s to be it’s up to me.
Timed:
In your subconscious mind the past and the future don't exist; there is only the "now". Your future is pre destined, to a degree on what you are doing, thinking and believing right now. This means that the future can be molded and shaped any way you want it to be. By creating future date goals you are taking charge of your future. At first aim to make the goal roughly 6 months away.
Inspirational:
We as human beings do things either to avoid pain, to gain pleasure or because we are inspired to do something. When we live our lives in accordance with our own inner values and follow our true heart’s desire we discover our higher self. We instinctively awaken a dormant energy that guides our life and so we begin our sacred quest to find our true purpose. When we are inspired we manifest great things into our life to support nurture and challenge us. Challenges help us to grow and are necessary for great things to happen.
Emotional:
Human beings are emotional beings everything we do is driven by our emotions. We are driven to gain pleasure and to avoid pain. It's an instinctive ancestral survival skill from years of ago, when we needed to have those instincts to avoiding becoming dinner for that wiled bear! So the more emotional gain that is associated with your goal the more you will feel compelled to go for it.
Goal: Health (example)
It is the 17th of July 2009, and I feel amazing as I am now a healthy size 10. I love and feed my body a healthy balanced diet of daily salads and juices. I walk regularly around Regents Park three times a week and attend yoga four times per week. I feel my life is in balance, and I now have more energy and vitality to develop and build my personal training practice.
Activating the Goal:
Once you have designed your goal it is important that you put it into action. Take a few moments to create the emotions that would accompany the successful achievement of your goal. In your mind eye create a mental picture combined with all the emotions that will have an enormous impact on your subconscious mind.
Visualization is perhaps the most powerful tool available to you to help you achieve your goals faster than you ever thought possible.
When you combine this clear goal setting method, with emotionally charged visualization, you activate your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind then solves every problem on the way to your goal. Your subconscious mind activates the Law of Attraction and begins attracting into your life people, circumstances, ideas and resources that will help you to achieve your goals even faster.
Read your goal and do this visualization every morning and evening before you go to bed?
Remember To:
1. Commit to go through this program with 100%, total commitment. You will get out of it what you put into it.
2. Make the decision to change your life for the better. Then, use the above method to create your desired Goal.
3. Take action! In order to make a change in your life, you have to actually do something. Take responsibility for your own life and your own results.
4. Begin with the end in mind.
This method of goal setting is one of many Shamanic Life Coaching techniques used by the Padmic System™ helping you to experience a greater understanding of yourself and your individual strengths.
What you see is what you think and what you think is what you get.

Tips Of Affiliate Marketing
Many marketings in internet among of them is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest, which makes it excellent e excellent for someone who is new to online marketing. An affiliate marketer is someone who refers website visitors or prospects to another website to purchase a product or service that has already been created. The person or company that has the product or service, pays a commission for the referral.
If you have ever recommended a movie to a friend, or maybe a restaurant to a business associate, you were providing a valuable service. You helped your friend to save money by going to a movie you were sure they would enjoy. The same with recommending a restaurant where you were certain the person your recommended would receive good service and excellent food.
That is the essence of affiliate marketing; referring (redirecting) someone to a product or service that you recommend. The primary difference is that in this instance you are paid for your recommendation when the person buys the product or service.
One of the best aspects of affiliate marketing that it will provide multiple streams of income if used correctly. There are thousands of different products and services that use affiliate marketing to increase their sales; everything from insurance, to e-books, to computers and software. In order to be successful using affiliate marketing there are three important steps to follow:
1. Choose Appropriate Partners. Pick products and/or services that are interesting to you, something that will keep you involved every day. The best products are those that you have personally used, though that is not mandatory. You can begin by checking out the home pages for products you have recently purchased or programs you currently use online, especially products or services that you paid for.
Simply go to the home page of that product and do a search within the website for the words "affiliate" or "partner." Many programs have an affiliate program link at the bottom of their home page. Fill out a simple form that tells the company how you want to be paid and where to send the money when you earn a commission. You will then be given some links you can add to your website or e-mails. Most companies will tell you exactly what to do to create a professional looking link to their home page.
2. Provide Simple Instructions. How you redirect visitors to the affiliate companies you have chosen will make a huge difference in how successful you are. Most companies that offer an affiliate programs provide banners that you can add to your website or e-mails, but this method is probably not the best or most effective. Ask yourself, how many banners do you click on?
A much better way to refer people to affiliate products is by telling them about a particular feature that you personally like about the product, and then put a link to the site where more information can be gained. As in our earlier example of recommending a movie to a friend, you would probably explain a little about why you are recommending this particular movie.
Possibly, when you recommended the movie you said something like, "I know how you really like a good mystery. Well, this movie kept me on the edge of my seat for over an hour." In other words, you gave them enough information that they would want to at least check it out for themselves.
That is one of the secrets of affiliate marketing, always be moving the person closer to a buying decision. You wouldn't force your friend to go to the movie you enjoyed, you would simply give them some information and let them decide. You could tell your friend that the movie is playing at the Crest Theater. That information would be very helpful for your friend to decide the next step they might want to take. It is the same with affiliate marketing.
3. Create a Clear Call to Action. Once you have decided on a particular product or service that you want to recommend (and earn a commission!), it is important that you create a call to action. You explain one or more of the features of the product and then make it very clear what the next step is for them to take. The phrase "click here" is a very clear call to action. You are telling your prospect exactly what they need to do.
If you recommend a movie to a friend, you might ask them later if they went to see the movie. Maybe so you could talk about. It also tells you what your friend thought about your recommendation. There could be many reasons why your friend did not take your advice, and you would probably want to know why as this would affect what you recommend to them in the future.
In the same way, if you are referring many people to a product and yet are not receiving commissions, you will want to review this company and determine why people are not buying. Perhaps the product is too expensive, or there are bad reviews by others who have used the product. At this point, you will want to look for other products to reccomend. There are thousands to choose from.
Think of all the products or services you have recommended to others over the years. Now you know how to get paid for your recommendations.
Without site you can get money online from affiliate marketing.

Find for Dollar on the Internet
Hello....
I will give you article about five Characteristics of a Professional
1. Take advantage of every opportunity.
By noticing and using every chance that turned up. Opportunity doesn't knock just once. It knocks all the time, though you may not recognize the sound. One technique is to learn from successful people by finding out how they achieved their success.
2. Start by asking questions.
Successful people will share their knowledge and experiences with you if you ask good questions that stimulate their thinking and responses. The quality of the information you receive depends on the quality of your questions. The key to connecting with others is conversation, and the secret of conversation is to ask the right questions. A conversation can lead to a relationship, and a nurtured relationship can produce amazing results.
3. Dedicate yourself.
Two questions you should ask yourself on a fairly regular basis are, "What can I do to contribute to my profession--to my employer and my professional association?" and "How can I be professionally accountable?" When you can do this, you'll get so much more than you give.
4. Use stories.
Be inventive in selling yourself and your profession. Learn to network, one on one, by using memorable stories. Sometimes, it's appropriate to fade into the background. Most of us are shy in some situations. But, to be professionally accountable, you must be able to stand out and speak up. When you are in any situation where you're meeting the public, how do you introduce yourself? When people ask what you do, can you tell them in a way that will stick in their minds? I challenge you to come up with a one-sentence way of presenting yourself and your profession so that people will never forget. Create a vivid, visual picture of your job, its challenges and triumphs. People will remember the picture you create in their minds, rather than your words.
5. Develop your persuasive powers.
Being professionally accountable means knowing how to influence people. President Dwight Eisenhower, said, "Leadership is the ability to decide what has to be done and then getting people to want to do it." How do you influence people? One of my clients is Horst Schulze, president of the Ritz Carlton hotels. He advises prospective employees,"We are all ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen. Our guests pay our prices to have an experience, and it is your job to be part of that experience. You will never say, 'That is not in my job description,' and you will never bring your own problems to work." Obviously, this works at the Ritz Carlton. Do you have a similar motivator for yourself, your colleagues, and your fellow professionals? Are you persuasive in representing my company, department or association in public?
* * *
The future belongs to the competent. We need to be multifaceted in our competence and become charismatic communicators with technical competence and excellent people skills, especially in negotiating. This means developing the habit of learning everywhere, every day.
Take the initiative. Go meet people who perhaps don't look like you or think like you.
You inspire others, both personally and professionally, through your actions and the environment you create. When you are professionally accountable, people watch what you're doing as well as listening to what you're saying. You must try and sure the good result.

Finding Dollar with Easy
Are you thinking about opening a dollar store? If so, one of the most challenging parts of the whole process will be finding the right suppliers. While internet searches will present you with a huge assortment of companies claiming to provide the perfect dollar store items, it’s hard to know who you can trust. Then after selecting a company or two, you need to decide on the right dollar store items to sell in your store. But it’s not as easy as that. You need to find the merchandise your customers need and want. Otherwise you’ll end up with a store filled with old, outdated, dusty merchandise that does not sell.
Locating reliable suppliers is not as difficult as you might think. The challenge when first opening a dollar store is the fast turn around time you need after researching, investigating, and registering with the suppliers. There is the time it takes to create an order, submit and pay for that order, and then have it pulled, palletized and shipped to you. For this to happen quickly plan to spend some time every day following up to make sure everything is progressing as needed.
Don’t wait until you have located the suppliers to develop an outline of your first merchandise order. There are core dollar store items that must be ordered no matter what your final decision regarding suppliers. Jot those items down so you will remember them. Add to your list as you come across other items you must carry in your store. If you are having trouble coming up with initial order ideas consider using an experienced consultant to help. One way to do this yourself is to walk through one of two local dollar stores to get an idea what they sell. Use this as your seed list for must have items.
When opening a dollar store don’t allow your desire to open quickly to interfere with completing good due diligence. Thoroughly check out prospective suppliers before ever giving them an order. Be sure you ask others in the industry for their recommendations as well. Whenever possible start with a small order to test suppliers before committing to use them. This may not be possible if your grand opening date is fast approaching. In those cases give the larger orders to companies with rock solid references.
Opening a dollar store can be a very overwhelming experience. On the other hand a little pre-planning goes a long way toward eliminating the stress. Develop a basic initial merchandise order outline to make ordering dollar store items easier and less worrisome. Follow up with suppliers and freight haulers to make sure all the merchandise you need is present and on display for your grand opening event.
To your dollar store success!

50 Side Businesses You Can Start On Your Own
In the past, I’ve discussed how it’s a good idea to spend your spare time dabbling in entrepreneurship: it fills your time with something that you choose (and thus you enjoy) and sets up a potential long-term revenue stream. I also discussed how I got a side business going myself.
Since then, lots of readers have written to me, asking for ideas on how to start a simple side business. What follows is a list of 50 of those ideas that I’ve collected over the last year or so. Each of these ideas is very simple to start, and most can be done as a sole proprietorship at first (meaning you don’t have to file any legal documents to get started, though you will want to do that if it starts to take off). Most of these can be done at home in your spare time in your spare space, too.
Ready? See if there are any ideas below that fit you well. If you find an idea, seek out a guide on how to get started in that area.
Antique refurbishment This is a perfect side business for people who love antiquing. Take worn-out antiques home with you, invest the time and care needed to transform those old items into something amazing, then resell them at a profit.
Auto detailing Have a meticulous eye for detail and love to get things gleaming clean? Auto detailing is probably a perfect side business for you. In essence, your job is to make cars sparkle inside and out - and many people are quite happy to pay well for this service.
Babysitting Got lots of evenings free? Like kids? Babysitting may be a great side business for you. Keep an eye on multiple children on Friday and Saturday nights and you can earn some solid income.
Bed and breakfast Have some extra space in your home? Turn that extra bedroom into a “bed and breakfast” room. This works particularly well if you have a somewhat older home or live near an area that attracts regular travelers and tourists.
Blogging If you enjoy writing, find a topic you’re passionate about and start a blog on the topic. All you need is a computer, some time, and some energy to consistently write.
Cake decorating Enjoy baking and have a bit of an artistic touch? Learn how to decorate cakes and make them for special events. One of my mother’s old friends does this and makes quite a bit of money on the side.
Candle making Candle making is a great little craft to learn. You can often easily sell the candles at local shops and also through websites like Etsy.com.
Candy making Homemade candies are easier to make than you think and quite popular. Package them in nice little boxes and sell them through a local gift shop.
Card making This is another artistic “crafty” angle you can follow. Make greeting/birthday cards from scratch using your own photographs, some blank cards, and a healthy dose of artistic flair. Again, you san sell items like these through a local gift shop or at sites like etsy.com.
Catering If you love to cook, take the “Blondie” route and start a home catering business. Catering is a business that’s perfectly designed to reward those who plan well and can often fit perfectly into weekends, lining up wonderfully opposite a normal workweek.
Childcare service Many states allow people to start up in-home daycares with minimal licensing and paperwork. If you love children and have plenty of time and space at home, this is a perfect business to get into.
Cleaning services for businesses Many businesses and civic institutions have a need for individuals who will provide cleaning services at a low cost outside of business hours. This is a great side business for those who can put in a few hours late at night or on weekends.
Collectible trading If there’s a particular type of collectible that you know a great deal about, you can often make good money as a collectible trader, utilizing tools like eBay and opportunities to find those collectibles in the community. I had some success with this myself with both trading cards and video games in the past.
Computer troubleshooting I had some success with this in the past, though I’ve largely moved away from it now. If you have a knack for fixing computers, this is a good place to start.
Consignment buyer Consignment shops and consignment auctions are often loaded with good deals if you know how to identify them - quite often, you can turn these good deals around and make a nice profit elsewhere. Get started by visiting some consignment shops and critically evaluating the prices on the items there.
Cookie making Much like candy making, homemade cookies can be a great seller. Bake the cookies, package them well, and resell them through a local gift shop. Often, you can find people in your social network who will buy batches from you for special occasions.
Dinner preparer I recently met a woman who earned quite a bit of money as a very part-time chef. Once a week, she would go to someone’s house and prepare a homemade meal for their family, then do all the dishes and cleanup work. This gives the family plenty of together time, while earning the lady some cash in the pocket. If you love to cook, this can be a great opportunity, but you may have to put a lot of work into searching for clients.
Event coordinator Events like family reunions and large parties are often full of busywork that many people simply don’t want to tackle. That can be the perfect place for you to step in and take charge of the planning and coordination.
Event DJing Are you an audiophile? If you have a great sound system and a large selection of music, you’ve already got what you need to hire yourself out as a DJ for various events and receptions. This is a great way to fill an afternoon and evening while also earning some cash in the process.
Exercise teacher Many gymnasiums will trade membership and often a bit more for a person willing and able to teach an exercise class. If you’re in good shape, this is a great opportunity to earn some extra money, plus it can often lead to additional income with one-on-one teaching opportunities.
Furniture making If you’re adept at woodworking and have just a bit of basic equipment, it’s easy to get into business making deck furniture. It only requires a few items - a saw, a drill, a sander - and some creativity and passion for working with wood.
Garage sale management One person I know holds a garage sale at their house almost every weekend during the summer. As a result, that person has a lot of regular customers who stop by almost every weekend to see what’s on sale. That person then goes to neighbors and friends and offers to sell their stuff at that yard sale for them, splitting the proceeds. People are usually happy to do this, since they don’t have to go to all of the work of running a yard sale, but still get rid of unwanted items and earn a bit of money, too.
Gardening services I’ve actually had requests from others for people willing to do this, so the demand is out there. To put it simply, some people are willing to pay others to get a vegetable or flower garden started for them in their yard so they can have access to ultra-fresh produce without all the legwork.
Handy man services Skilled at basic home repair? Let people know that they can call you for little repair jobs, like basic plumbing and other things. You’d be amazed at the simple things people are willing to pay others to help them with.
Housecleaning Many people simply don’t enjoy cleaning their homes and are willing to pay a reasonable price to have someone do the work for them. This is a great way to earn extra money in a flexible way, particularly if you have time off during the workweek.
Interior decorating Fascinated by interior design? Have a huge collection of interior design materials around? Many people are quite happy to hire individuals to help them decorate their home - I know, for one, that I have no eye for this type of thing.
Jewelry making If you have a good eye for detail work and a lot of patience, homemade jewelry can be quite profitable. As with other items on this list, there are many opportunities to sell such items through local gift shops or at sites like etsy.
Knitting / crocheting / quilting Skilled at creating blankets and sweaters? There’s a huge market for these types of items - even better, you can usually make them in your spare time whenever you have it. As always, local shops and places like etsy are great places to go to sell such items.
Landscaping services Willing to mow lawns and trim bushes and trees? Many people are quite happy to pay for such services. Not only is this a great side business for a fit adult, it’s also a great way for a teenager to get a small business started.
Meal-to-go preparations Remember my earlier post about breakfast burritos? Making meals in advance is a great way to save money for yourself - but you can often prepare these for others as well and sell them for a markup. Prepare eight casseroles, for example, then sell six of them to cover your costs, and you’ve got two free dinners for your family (and maybe a bit more). You can grow this by taking orders from others and finding out what they like.
Online media consultant Like participating on messageboards, Facebook, Twitter, and so on? Become an online media consultant and help people promote things. Start small - help local businesses get a presence on Facebook and set them up with Twitter. From there, you can grow to whatever works for you.
Personal shopping Many very busy people and elderly people are willing to pay a fee for people to do their shopping for them. Simply retrieve a shopping list from them, return with the receipt, and accept payment for the purchased items (plus a little fee). You can often do this in conjunction with your own shopping trip if you’re well-organized (take two carts!).
Pet grooming Many people loathe bathing their pets and trimming their hair - I know I do. Pet groomers perform these tasks for a small fee - a perfect job for a person who loves dogs and cats.
Pet sitting When people go on trips, they’re often concerned as to what will happen with their pets. That’s where you step in - offer yourself as a safe place to leave their pets, or be willing to go to their home to take care of their pets.
Pet walking Many busy people leave their pets home all day, but realize that those pets really could use a vigorous walk (and an opportunity to relieve themselves) during the day. Pet walking is a great opportunity for exercise, fresh air, and some pocket money if you have free time during each day.
Pet yard waste cleanup For many people in suburban areas, cleaning up pet yard waste is a real hassle - it’s disgusting, for one. Instead of cleaning it up themselves, they might hire someone to do it regularly, two to three times a week. There are several such services in our area, actually.
Produce selling Like to grow vegetables? Focus in on one vegetable and sell the excess to grocery stores and at farmers’ markets. My father does this with tomatoes and earns some solid extra money during the summer months. You can do really well, though, if you can grow things inside during the winter - February fresh tomatoes can sell quite well.
Proofreading Have strong English skills and exceptional grammar? You may have opportunities to work as a proofreader from home. Advertising for this can be difficult - seek out those who might actually be able to use your services and advertise directly to them.
Public speaking If you’re the type of person who can get the attention of a room easily, public speaking might be for you. Take advantage of every public speaking opportunity you can and you’ll be surprised at the opportunities that make themselves available for you.
Scrapbook making Many people dream of having beautiful scrapbooks. They collect all the materials they want in the scrapbooks but never follow through on the actual creation. You can step in here - take their ideas and materials and assemble a scrapbook for them.
Senior citizen assistance Many elderly people need assistance with a wide variety of simple household tasks - cleaning, laundry, and so forth. Many children of elderly people are quite willing to hire someone to help out their parents.
Sewing and alterations My wife is quite handy with a sewing machine and often hems and modifies our children’s clothes. She could easily take this a step further and offer her services to others, doing basic garment repair and modification for a small price on lazy evenings.
Soap making Making amazing homemade soaps isn’t as hard as you might think - it just takes time and patience. Again, items like these can easily be sold via local gift shops and through websites like etsy.
Teaching music If you know how to play an instrument (particularly the piano or the guitar) and have patience, you’ve got what you need to teach others how to play. Offer lessons in that instrument to others - this can also be an excellent thing to barter with, too.
Toy making From simple things like sock monkeys to more elaborate things like handcrafted chess sets, many people are willing to pay good money for handcrafted toys that you can easily make at home in your spare time. Again, gift shops are the place to go with items like these.
Tutoring Did you major in a particular topic in college? Do you have patience with children? You likely have what you need to tutor kids in particular subjects. Seek out parents and let them know that you tutor in a particular subject and provide materials for them to share and phone calls will often trickle in.
Video preparation services Many people like to have videos made for special events, such as weddings, or for gifts. This may mean actually taking the video yourself at a special event, or it may mean simply assembling materials and creating a video from those items. Either way, with a well-equipped PC, some taste, and some patience, you can make quite sophisticated video productions at home.
Virtual assistant Many ultra-busy professionals appreciate having someone who can check and answer their email, organize task lists for them, update their calendars, and so on, with minimal interaction. The best part is that you can provide this service from home with a good internet connection.
Web site design Many small businesses in your community could use a very basic web presence to tell others about their business. Quite often, these businesses don’t have a large budget for such things. That’s where you come in - get a bunch of clients from the local community by beating the pavement, create sites for them, and maintain them for a small fee. Get enough businesses and you have a nice side business of your own that doesn’t require a ton of maintenance time.
Wedding planner If you’re one of those people who can’t help but flip through bridal magazines and think about various wedding arrangements in your daydreams, wedding planning might be the perfect thing for you. A great way to get started is to develop a website on the topic, get to know people online, and offer your services throughout the community.
I’m betting the readers have many, many more ideas along these same lines. From http://www.thesimpledollar.com

Why One-Budget-Fits-All Doesn’t Work - And Why It’s Difficult to Compare Spending Between People and Families
Thursday, 27 August 2009Whenever I leaf through a personal finance “workbook,” I usually wind up getting frustrated. Such workbooks provide “example budgets” and “recommended percentages” that completely miss the boat on the financial realities of most families. Why? Because almost every family has a different allocation of money within their personal budget.
Take food, for example. Recently, I openly discussed my food budget for a month, which was about $770. This was pretty close to being in line with the cost of a moderate meal plan as defined by the USDA.
In order to reach that dollar amount, I spent more in some areas on average - such as on free range chickens, organic milk, cheeses (such as gruyere), wine, saffron, and so forth - and less in others, such as often buying only flour and making my own bread and breadsticks and rarely eating out.
This has interesting ramifications all over our budget. Because we eat a healthy diet, we’ve had very low health care costs over the last year. I’ve had one severe cold in the last two years, and my wife hasn’t had any. This has meant our expenses on things like cold medicines, doctor’s visits, and prescriptions has been really low. It has also reduced our entertainment expenses - we have more fun in the kitchen as a family, putting toppings on a homemade pizza or making a frittata, than we do going out to a movie or to Chuck E. Cheese or the like.
Our food choices also tie into our personal beliefs - we are pretty strong believers in eating well-rounded, highly nutritious, and diverse food, and getting our children to eat the same. This goes way beyond feeding them what’s easiest, what’s cheapest, or what’s strictly the healthiest - it’s about feeding them a diverse diet that teaches them to like unusual things and get a wide variety of micronutrients without lots of additives.
In short, every person and every family is different. We have different lives with different values and different beliefs.
Let me give you three more examples to clarify what I’m saying.
I’m friends with several members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Members of this church are expected to tithe ten percent of their income directly to the church, no questions asked. This drastically alters their budget, especially in comparison to secular folks or members of other churches who do not enforce such a strict level of tithing. Right off the bat, comparing the budget of an LDS family bringing in $50,000 a year to the budget of a secular family bringing in $50,000 a year is an unequal comparison.
Demographically, we’re almost identical to our neighbors to the north. We’re a married couple living in rural Iowa with two young children, and our income level from employment activities appears to be pretty close to the same, so you’d expect us to have fairly similar budgets. Not so. They own three vehicles, all of which are newer than either of our vehicles, and two of them are 2006 or later. They place significantly more value in the quality level of their automobiles than we do. They also travel by car more, with almost-routine long driving trips across several states. End result? The “automotive” part of their budget is obviously much higher than ours. What percentage is lower? I don’t know, but that extra spending has to be balanced out in some other aspect of their life.
Alternately, you can look at a completely different situation. I know two people living in a small home on a retirement pension that, along with Social Security, provides more than enough for them to make it. However, one of them has a two-pack-a-day smoking habit and between them and their guests, roughly a twelve pack of beer gets consumed a day at their home. Their “vice” budget in this case is tremendously high, causing the other elements of their budget to face the squeeze.
Not only do families with different demographics and different choices have different budgets, but budget proportions change for everyone when things like energy outpace inflation. Compared to five years ago, almost all of us are spending a significantly larger slice of our pie on gasoline, so using a ready-made budget from 2003 won’t really work, either.
The real solution is to start with what YOU spend. Keep track of your real, honest spending for a month or two, then use that as a basis to figure out where you can trim some spending by making different choices. The routes you take to frugality might be different than someone else - you might trim your food expenses by eating very basic meals at home, while others might choose to save money by setting up a carpool with their friends.
Don’t use someone else’s spending as a model for your own. Just because someone else spends more than you do in an area doesn’t mean it’s somehow okay for you to let all restraint go and bust out the plastic. It merely means they’re making different choices than you and those different choices come from different beliefs, different circumstances, and different goals - three things a budget comparison really can’t show you.

GET MONEY FROM SURVEY
1. Is there any cost or membership fee to join? No, Membership at A.W.Surveys is Free and you will not be required to pay any membership fees or any other expenses out of pocket.
|
| 2. How do I get Paid or How do you pay me? We currently have Three Payment methods. Option (1) includes United States Postal Service (USPS) and is Free, this option generally takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. Option (1) is available to anybody in the U.S. Options (2 and 3) include the use of Paypal (www.Paypal.com) or (www.AlertPay.com) and is an electronic payment, this option generally takes 3-5 business days for delivery. Option (2 and 3) have a ($25) Expedited Service Charge and is taken directly from your A.W.Surveys account with us. The Expedited Service Charge is for the faster delivery time (3-5 days compared to 4-6 weeks). If you are ready for a payment, click the Redeem Money button and you will be presented with the above options. These are currently three payment options that A.W.Surveys supports. We are however exploring other payment options.
|
3. Do you allow members outside the U.S. to join? Yes, we accept members from around the world. We accept in any area that allows the use of Paypal.
|
| 4. When are new surveys posted? We periodically post new surveys. They are based on age, gender, etc. We normally E-mail when new surveys are available, but please check back regularly for new survey opportunities for some might not be E-mailed. Please do not E-mail asking for more surveys for this will not increase your survey amount.
|
| 5. Is there a minimum payout requirement? Yes, currently the the cash out amount is set to $75. You will not be able to redeem until you have met this minimum amount. We offer some of the highest paying surveys, and offer a great referral system, so this amount should not be hard to reach.
|
| Please go to the Refer Friends tab and you will be provided with a link to give to your friends. Once they visit this link and sign up for a Free account you will be credited for the referral. You may also use our Banner images with link code to post on a website.
|
| 7. Why has my Referral Count decreased? When we periodically delete Fraudulent accounts and they have your Referral tag on them, you will lose them as your referral. We know that you can not control what your referrals do, but this is why we recommend only referring your friends that you know will not commit fraudulent activities.
|
| 8. Why do I get paid for sharing my opinion and filling out surveys? Companies spend Billions of dollars a year trying to convince consumers that their products are the best and to buy their products and services. They achieve this by getting an understanding how people think and shop. Knowing this, companies are willing to pay you for your opinions. Overall your opinion could help the companies to upgrade their products and services.
|
| 9. If I have a busy schedule, will I have enough time to do this? One of the advantages of taking surveys online is that you can do them at your convenience. That is one of the best parts about surveys and why it's the easiest way for the average person to make some extra cash. You can do it at your own pace. If you have an extra 30 minutes in the morning before you go off to work, you can do a few surveys then. If you have any other spare time throughout the day you can do them and earn money. The great thing about this is that if you get busy with other things and don't have any time to do surveys for awhile, that is okay. You can decide when you want to do them. You can do surveys when it's convenient for you.
|
| 10. Is my personal information secure? All personal information given to A.W.Surveys is strictly confidential and will not be shared with 3rd parties. We provide links to other websites within our website and your information will only be given to them if you yourself give them that information.
|
| Online surveys are used as a technique for gathering information for companies. They generally are a set of questions which require a participant to answer and then the information is eventually given back to company for reporting purposes. The companies are willing to pay a fee to the participant for their opinions and time.
|
| 12. How many surveys can I do in one day? Survey participation revolves around a couple of factors. We have no set limit on the number you can do a day, but there are only so many that are available on A.W.Surveys. If you qualify for the survey on our website you will be given a link to it, otherwise if no surveys available it will also notify you of that. We also show other survey sites so you can use other companies to amplify the number of survey offers you get.
|
| 13. Why was my payment denied or Why was my account deleted? If you have created fraudulent accounts, do not expect to be paid for them. We will deny your payment if you have created fake accounts to raise your referral count. Please do not waste your time creating fake accounts, our system will catch them, delete them, and deny your payment automatically. Your account may be deleted or flagged for fraudulent activities in the process. Please follow our T.O.S. when referring friends because we do not allow some forms of referring. The two most popular sites we do not allow you to post referral links on are craigslist.com and myspace.com, please review our T.O.S. for a complete list of rules. If your account has been inactive for more then 45 days it is removed from our system. If you have not violated the above rules, please feel free to submit a ticket so we can research your account.
|
| 14. How long does it take to complete a survey? The length of time varies for each project, but we try to keep all of our projects as brief as possible. Most of our surveys range 5-10 minutes. Of course some will be marked longer and some shorter.
|
| 15. How can I delete my account if I no longer want to receive your surveys? Once logged in, please click on Account Settings then click on the option to delete your account. |
